A vacant room with peeled paint and a displaced door leaning on its walls conveys a mood of emptiness, maybe loneliness. Assorted pots and pans on a kitchen counter suggest a stew may be in the offering.
Objects tell stories. The form, texture, light, and shadow generate the context of its import. Often, we take for granted everyday articles as we pass by them. Artwork commands the viewer pay attention.
I have no formula to select my subjects. Something catches my eye and I attempt to convey its story, its relevance.
